Senator-Elect Hagerty Joins President Trump in Georgia to Support Sens. Perdue and Loeffler

Tennessee Senator-elect Bill Hagerty (R-TN) joined President Donald Trump in Valdosta, Georgia Saturday night as the Republican Party comes together to make sure it holds onto the Senate majority in Washington, D.C.

Trump held the rally in Valdosta to garner support for Republican Senate candidates Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

“The answer to the Democrat voter fraud is not to stay at home – that’s what Pelosi and Schumer want you to do,” Trump tweeted. “If you want revenge on the Democrats for their efforts to steal the Presidential election, where we are fighting hard, you have to show up and vote in RECORD numbers!”

Trump endorsements in the past have done well for Senate candidates just like Hagerty who the president mentioned during his speech Saturday night.

“The next senator from Tennessee – just got elected. Did my endorsement help? You better believe it – we love Tennessee.

“Bill Hagerty: he’s going to be a great Senator for a long time,” Trump said.

In a tweet, Hagerty thanked the president for his rally in Georgia Saturday night.

“Thank you, President @realDonaldTrump! Tennessee stands with you all the way,” he said.

Echoing President Trump’s sentiments, Hagerty endorsed Loeffler and Perdue for U.S. Senate.

“President @realDonaldTrump is absolutely right. The stakes are high in the #GASen races. We must do everything we can to re-elect @KLoeffler and @Perduesenate. #HoldTheLine,” Hagerty tweeted.

Currently, the Republicans have a slim 50-48 seat majority over Democrats in the US Senate.
